Overview

Founded 2006 by Michele Horrigan (curator/director). Commissions, produces, exhibits contemporary art in public spaces of small Irish town. Annual summer artist residency + festival “Welcome to the Neighbourhood” for Irish/international artists. Over 100 projects realized; no traditional galleries. Artworks shown at global biennials/festivals. Sections: current, archive, media (“Only in Askeaton” videos), publications, associates, information. Board includes Sean Lynch, others.
